STEEL REINFORCEMENT

One of the unique capabilities of Reynolds-French repair crews is their ability to fabricate and secure in place replacement sections. These sections will duplicate the original casting and allow on site machining to exact dimensions.

REINFORCEMENT FABRICATION

Fabrications held in place by a series of special bolting and various locking devices, as shown below, will restore the broken or damaged casting to its full strength with repairs being done on site and without full disassembly in many cases. After any necessary machining and painting these castings are restored to their original strength, dimensions and appearance

BOLT REINFORCEMENT

Steel fasteners of various sizes, styles, heads and application play an important role in designing the repair of damaged castings. Strategic use of these bolts combined with Reynolds-French’s locking methods, often builds greater strength into a casting than it had originally.

Special ream-fit bolts, twist-off bolts, step studs and other bolting configurations made by Reynolds-French are often employed to transfer load or secure fabrication, assuring complete reinforcement. Examples of the many thousands of repairs using R-F’s design bolt reinforcement applications are shown below
